BIOGRAPHY
 Formed in March 2001, Ibridoma
was from the start the brainchild of Alessandro Morroni
(drums). First to join the upcoming band was Christian Bartolacci
(vocals). After performing together they decided to carry on with this
project, creating an out-and-out band with the support carried by Simone Mogetta (lead guitar), Pietro
Alessandrini (rhythmic guitar) and Lorenzo Petrini (bass).
After a few months the band performed several live shows during
local festivals, gaining a fairly good public appreciation.
Later on, Ibridoma took part in several
music competitions, winning the first prize at the ROCK AROUND THE ROAD
festival in 2004. Starting from this result, the band had the
qualifications to begin composing own lyrics. Indeed, they released the
Lady Of Darkness EP in 2005, obtaining a distribution contract with
Nightmare Records (USA) and several good reviews on musical websites in Italy, Holland,
France, Portugal, Brazil
and Germany.
In 2006 Ibridoma performed live in Lisbon (Portugal) supported by Mindfeeder, a local band. During the same year Pietro Alessandrini left the
band, being replaced by the lead guitarist Marco Vitali.
In March 2007, Ibridoma took a stab at
their second project, Page 26, that immediately meet the favour of critics.
In June 2008, Alone In The Wind track appeared in Rock Hard Compilation,
which included worldwide metal band among which Venom, Opeth
and Stormlord. In August 2008, the bassist
Lorenzo Petrini left the band, being replaced by
Leonardo Ciccarelli.
The new album has been followed by several live shows that lead the
band to support also famous artists like The Dogma, Uli
Jon Roth (former Scorpions), Richie Kotzen (former Poison / Mr Big), Rigo
Rigetti e Roby Pellati
(Ligabue) Blaze Bayley
(former Iron Maiden), Linea 77, Theatre of the
Vampire, Necrodeath.
In 2008 Ibridoma’s myspace site www.myspace.com/ibridoma is among the most visited in the Italian metal
panorama. Still, since 2008/2009 Ibridoma have
been endorsing the following musical instrument brands: B.C. Rich, Traben, Kustom, Mr. Drums, Gallien Krueger, Pick boy, Rotosound, Bulk, In Tune.
Ibridoma are producing their first full leght,
which will be released in mid-2009. Before that, during February and March,
the band supported the Blaze Bayley’s
Italian tour.
